After several years of providing financial and other advice to a wide-ranging client base, he was head-hunted by the private banking arm of a commercial bank to join a fast-moving and skilful financial services team. This was dedicated to offering a professional and high quality service to its varied client base which included City professionals and business owners.
Their differing needs covered both corporate and individual financial planning and advice. After successfully building a very busy and active portfolio of clients for this team, the bank took a strategic decision to close down this advisory activity.
This immediately placed some of Sat’s clients in a potentially vulnerable position as they required continuing financial advice. This naturally led to Sat becoming directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to ensure he could continue to offer his clients the high level of service and advice to which they had become accustomed.
Sat established CJA Financial Planning Limited so that he could offer and provide a service-based financial planning and advisory business based on his strong belief in family values and a dedicated approach to obtaining the best possible solution for each individual client.
He passionately believes that developing long-term, trusted relationships with clients is key to ensuring that they receive the best possible advice.
This might start from the time a client first begins working through various life events such as marriage, children (education fees), retirement, illness, divorce and ultimately death (inheritance and wills). These events require planning. They also need to incorporate a flexible strategy so as to enable clients to face up to and handle these changes in circumstances.
Away from his professional life, he is married with two young children. When at home, he cherishes his family activities, including ‘movie’ nights, swimming and bowling. His ‘guilty pleasure’ is being a food taster and he enjoys nothing more than his wife’s cooking when she experiments in the kitchen.
Whilst this, no doubt, adds a few pounds and several inches to his girth, he does try to keep fit by ‘playing’ golf although his playing partners will say that this is a trial in itself. Additionally, if time permits, he might hit the gym!
